Nina FK

Nina Finn-Kelcey is a Danish photographer and illustrator who has been based in Ireland for the past 10 years. Having lived in places as varied as Israel, France and Greece and having drawn inspiration from working within design and children’s literature, Nina came to settle by the Kerry seashore where her love of nature could be expressed in her work. With a natural ability to ignore the Big Picture and instead, choosing to lose herself in a world of detail, Nina’s work celebrates the joy and diversity of our surroundings and offers those of us who suffer from ‘time poverty’, an insight into what we might be missing.

TAKE TWO

‘Take Two’ is a series of close up images that challenge the viewer to take another look at subjects that might otherwise be considered unremarkable in passing. Enlarged and printed onto four foot pieces of aluminium, a piece of broken glass, a rock pool and a cross-section of wood become an intricate universe in their own right and hopefully show that there is always beauty in strange places.
